Yoga & Pilates Class Descriptions

Ashtanga Vinyasa
This Yoga class offers an athletic pace with dance-like flow and varying emphasis (i.e. hips, backbends, twists, arm balances). Ujjayi breathing interwoven with life-affirming yoga philosophy and sun salutations. (I,A)

Beginning Yoga – This fun Hatha Vinyasa Yoga class welcomes beginning to intermediate levels. We recommend Hatha classes for students who want to slow down, intensely deepen your practice and rejuvenate. Standing, seated and inverted postures will be taught. Modifications and variations of poses are given to adjust difficulty based on individual needs.

Candlelight Yoga
Enjoy a Vinsaya flow yoga class to the relaxing glow of candlelight. (B,I)

Guided Meditation
Enter the wonderful art of Meditation, relaxation and healing reflection. Learn meditation step by step techniques for inner happiness and healing. (B,I,A)

Hot Yoga
A blend of traditional and Bikram-style yoga in a room heated to 85-90 degrees. The class focuses on maintaining challenging balance postures with some traditional Vinyasa flow incorporated.  Inspiring, fun and uplifting music will be the background for this revolutionary class. (A)

Hot Pilates
Turn up the heat and sweat it out in this Pilates mat class.

Pilates Mat Class
Strengthen and lengthen your entire body by learning to develop and use your core stabilization muscles.  Pilates Mat Class offers an intensive class designed to strengthen the body where it counts- in the abs, back, legs and glutes. (B,I,)

Power Pilates Mat
A faster paced Pilates class .(I,A)

Power Vinyasa
A very vigorous, non-stop, sweat-inducing yoga class with high-energy and challenging postures. Some advanced postures are introduced, but less-difficult alternatives are always given. This is a great class for the yogi or yogini who wants to groove into their own yoga practice, push to new levels, and learn more challenging poses. (A)

Yoga for Stiffies
A class for tight, stiff and inflexible people. Class focus on is breath, alignment and linking mind and body. (B,I)

Yoga Downunder
An athletic vinyasa class that tones and strengthens entire body with emphasis on legs and bottoms. The flow sequences are linked to breath. (I)

Yoga Pump
Use light to heavy weights throughout the class to help sculpt and tone your body as you stretch and move through your traditional yoga poses.

Vinyasa
Yoga based on Sun Salutations, and the “Vinyasa” which incorporates push-ups and moving from the floor to standing poses in sequences in order to raise heart-rate. There is an emphasis on core strength while t he flowing from pose to pose working the entire body.

Vinyasa Boot Camp
A slightly faster paced Vinyasa flow incorporating many pushups between sun salutations.

Vinyasa Core
Intense ab work for the last 15 minutes of the class.
